Durham Regional Hospital has a special invitation to babies born at Durham Regional or cared for in its Special Care Nursery since 1976 and their families.
Hospital employees, physicians and volunteers will walk to save babies in the 2006 March of Dimes WalkAmerica. To join the quest to save babies and in honor of Durham Regional’s 30th anniversary, the hospital invites all babies born at Durham Regional and their family, friends and neighbors to walk with the Durham Regional team on April 22, 2006 at Nortel Networks in Research Triangle Park from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Interested participants should call 403-4DRH (4374) for information or to receive their registration materials. Each walker is encouraged to raise $100 to benefit the Triangle area. Walkers do not have to have been born at Durham Regional to join the Durham Regional WalkAmerica team. Together, we can save babies.
The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Founded in 1938, the March of Dimes funds programs of research, community services, education, and advocacy to save babies and in 2003 launched a campaign to address the increasing rate of premature birth.
