Watts School of Nursing Open House Scheduled for Monday, October 22, 2007.

Durham, NC- Watts School of Nursing (WSON) will host an open house Monday, October 22, 2007 from 5-7 p.m. During the open house, visitors will have a chance to view the new facility, take a brief guided tour and enjoy refreshments.

Current students, a recruiter and faculty will be available to answer questions.

The school moved in July from its location at Durham Regional Hospital to 2828 Croasdaile Drive in Durham. WSON has doubled in space, allowing enrollment of more than 200 students. The new location houses two skills labs, four large classrooms, computer and study areas, a hospital room, a larger reception area, an administrative suite and conference rooms in addition to larger faculty and student lounges. WSON offers students a diploma in nursing, an associate of science degree through Mount Olive College and full tuition reimbursement if they work for the Duke University Health System for three years after graduation. The school will continue to emphasize hands-on, hospital-based education at Durham Regional Hospital.
