At Durham Regional Hospital, we feel our role is to offer the complete scope of cardiovascular services expected in any tertiary level hospital. We strive to provide these services at the highest level possible, in a convenient, personalized manner expected in a community hospital setting.
Our staff provides complete heart care services that include diagnostic capability, cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and open-heart surgical procedures, as well as a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program offered at the Wellness Institute.

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory (Cath Lab) offers the most current technology for cardiac and vascular interventions. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet any cardiac or vascular emergency.
Durham Regional consistently followed the treatment guidelines in ACTION Registry®-GWTG for eight consecutive quarters and met a performance standard of 85 percent for specific performance measures to receive this 2011 award.
