Durham Regional Hospital provides tailored programs for patients living with lung disease. Our highly trained and experienced physicians provide a full spectrum of pulmonary care and treatment, including allergy and critical care services.
We provide inpatient pulmonary consult service, including bronchoscopies. Our facilities include a state-of-the-art pulmonary function lab, which provides arterial blood gases and has a bariatric capability.
As part of a comprehensive approach to join diagnosis and treatment, many patients find success and tools for living with lung disease with a pulmonary rehabilitation program available through Duke Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation.
Respiratory Therapy
Durham Regional Hospital is home to an active respiratory therapy program. Respiratory care coverage is provided by credentialed respiratory care practitioners who offer the most appropriate, cost-effective procedures to meet our patients’ cardiopulmonary needs.
We provide novel modes for ventilation, including high frequency oscillation. All procedures are administered under the medical advice of a board-certified pulmonologist on staff at Durham Regional Hospital.
